Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The Tried and True (operated by Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya Coaching Centre), we strive to provide transparent and fair policies regarding fees, refunds, and cancellations. This policy outlines the terms and conditions applicable to fee payments, refund requests, and course withdrawals for our coaching programs for Classes 10, 11, and 12.

1. Fee Structure & Components

Our fee structure consists of the following components:

2. Refund Eligibility & Timeline

Refund eligibility depends on when the withdrawal request is submitted:

Within 7 Days of Enrollment

90% Refund of tuition fees (excluding registration and board fees)

8-15 Days After Enrollment

70% Refund of tuition fees (excluding registration and board fees)

16-30 Days After Enrollment

50% Refund of tuition fees (excluding registration and board fees)

After 30 Days / Classes Commenced

No Refund will be provided once regular classes have started or after 30 days from enrollment

3. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, follow these steps:

Submit Written Application

Submit a written refund request addressed to the Principal/Director at our office or via email to info@thetriedandtrue.in

Include Required Documents

Attach original fee receipts, admission form copy, student ID, and bank account details for refund transfer

Return Issued Materials

Return all study materials, ID cards, and other items issued by the institution in good condition

Verification & Processing

Our accounts team will verify the request and process the refund within 15-30 business days

Refund Credit

Approved refunds will be credited to the bank account provided (same as the payment source when possible)

4. Non-Refundable Fees & Conditions

The following fees and situations are strictly non-refundable:

Registration Fee: One-time admission processing charges
Board Registration Fee: Fees paid to Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya examination board
Examination Fees: Internal tests, mock exams, and board examination fees
Late Fee Charges: Penalties for delayed payments
Issued Study Materials: Books, notes, or resources already distributed to students
Special Programs: Fees for workshops, seminars, or special coaching sessions already attended

Important: Once board registration is completed with Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya, no refund of board-related fees is possible as these are third-party charges submitted to the examination board.

5. Special Circumstances

We understand that exceptional situations may arise. The following cases will be considered on a case-by-case basis:

Medical Emergency

In case of serious illness or medical conditions preventing continued education, a proportionate refund may be considered upon submission of valid medical certificates from a registered medical practitioner.

Family Relocation

If the family relocates to a different city/state, refund consideration will be given with valid proof such as transfer order, new address proof, etc.

Course Cancellation by Institution

In the rare event that we cancel a course or program, full tuition fee refund (excluding registration fee) will be processed within 30 days.

Bereavement

In unfortunate circumstances of death in the immediate family, sympathetic consideration will be given to refund requests with appropriate documentation.

6. Course Transfer & Stream Change

Instead of a refund, students may opt for:

Stream Change: Transfer from one stream (Science/Arts/Commerce) to another within 15 days of enrollment (subject to seat availability)
Batch Transfer: Move to a different batch timing if available
Fee Adjustment: Apply paid fees towards a different academic year or session

Note: A nominal administrative charge may apply for transfers and adjustments.

7. Payment & Refund Methods

Accepted Payment Methods:

Cash payment at office
Bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS)
UPI payments
Demand Draft/Cheque

Refund Payment:

Refunds will be processed via bank transfer (NEFT) to the account provided
For cash payments, refund will be credited to the student's/guardian's bank account
Refund processing time: 15-30 business days from approval date

8. Dispute Resolution

In case of any dispute regarding refunds, the following resolution process will be followed:

Submit a written complaint to the administration office
The matter will be reviewed by the management within 7 working days
If unresolved, it will be escalated to the Principal/Director for final decision
The institution's decision will be final and binding

All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Nadia, West Bengal.

9. Policy Amendments

The Tried and True reserves the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated through our website and notice boards at the institution. The policy applicable at the time of enrollment will govern refund requests unless otherwise notified.
